In 2015, Forest Contract were approached by the proprietors of Elm House in Cumbria to fit a variety of new furniture to update their beautiful and traditional bed & breakfast in Cumbria. A variety of bar stools and chairs were used on this particular job, with the inclusion of several metres of banquette seating to act as a statement piece throughout the venue. The leather that was chosen for the banquette seating played a pivotal role in this venue as it had to match the current décor and feel of the venue, whilst adding character of its own. The ‘Shelley Burnt Oak’ leather that was chosen for the banquette seating works wonders with the dark table tops and brown wooden flooring throughout the venue and further reflects the country feel of this Cumbrian venue. For the other banquette seating in the venue, the client chose Berwick Teal which adds a hint of colour and further reflects the character of the venue.
Elm Guest House
Cumbria
With a short lead time to get the furniture produced and then installed, we were excited to get started and see our designs placed in this lovely country venue. Adam from our sales team talks about his experience of this venue, “We work with a variety of venues up and down the country, but I always enjoy working with the smaller independent restaurants, where our furniture can make a huge impact on their sales. Elm House was great to work with and I am really happy with how it all turned out. It’s a lovely venue and the new additions fit right in.”
The geneva side chair was used as the bulk of the seating throughout the venue, with bentwood low bar stools used around the bar area and upholstered in the same Berwick Teal as some of the banquette seating used. Having our own factory based in Greater Manchester, and producing most of our furniture bespoke and in house gives us the ability to provide our clients with not only a fast and efficient service but also the ability to choose from a wide range of leather and fabrics in a number of different textures.
